Unfortunately, it appears that none of the eggs in Ethel and Fred's clutch were viable. We expect them to abandon the nest soon but have read they may occasionally return. We have also read that red-shouldered hawks tend to nest in the same area every year, sometimes even using an old nest. Because of this, we ask everyone to continue to try to avoid their nesting area. We are hoping if we do not spook them, maybe they will come back here next year. For now, we are turning off the Hawk Cam. We hope you enjoyed this experience as much as we have. Thank you!
